Outdoor Pursuits presents Miller's 'Wintervention'

| November 19, 2010 8:00 PM

North Idaho College's Outdoor Pursuits will present the latest winter sports film from Warren Miller Entertainment 'Wintervention' at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 in NIC's Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center.

This year's film features outdoor enthusiasts who are so involved in winter sports, that some would call it an addiction. The film highlights skiers who sail from Argentina to Antarctica searching for some of the last untouched descents on Earth and skiers and snowboarders who venture deep into the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia for some of the best terrain.

General admission is $15, or $10 for NIC students, youths 12 and younger and senior citizens. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door or can be purchased in advance at the Outdoor Pursuits Office located on the lower level of NIC's Edminster Student Union Building or the Ski Shack in Hayden.

Lookout Pass is cosponsoring the event and will be distributing two-for-one lift ticket vouchers to all ticketholders.

Prizes from Schweitzer Mountain, Silver Mountain, the Ski Shack, Big Red Cats, Island Ski and Board, 49 Degrees North and 95.3 KPND will be raffled off at intermission.
