Ardyce Mortensen, 69

Ardyce Mortensen, 69, resident of Post Falls, passed away Nov. 15, 2010, in Spokane, Wash. Ardyce was born Oct. 31, 1941, in Malcom, Neb., to Arthur and Gail (Reynolds) Beal.

She lived in the area for 46 years and married Alan K. Mortensen in 1989 in Coeur d'Alene. Ardyce was an active member of First Christian Church in Coeur d'Alene for many years. She enjoyed gardening and was a fan of sports, especially the Nebraska Corn Huskers.

Ardyce is survived by her husband, Alan at home, sons, David and Robert Dillard and stepson Bryan Mortensen; stepdaughter Tara Freedenburg and five grandchildren, Katrina Dillard, Anthony Dillard, Patrick Dillard, Colton Dillard and Micah Freedenburg. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at First Christian Church, 610 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene. Inurnment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery, Post Falls.
