NIC volleyball at nationals

Fans of North Idaho College volleyball can watch the Cardinals compete at the NJCAA tournament starting Thursday in West Plains, Mo.

The tournament will be shown live by clicking on the "NJCAA Tournament Streaming Video" link at www.nic.edu/athletics.

In the first round of the tournament, the No. 6 Cardinals face No. 11 Iowa Western Community College at 7 a.m. PST on Thursday.

Cowen named WHL captain

for Super Series game

Spokane Chiefs defenseman Jared Cowen will serve as Team WHL captain for Game 5 of the Subway Super Series in Kamloops, British Columbia, tonight.

Also, the Chiefs have added defenseman Kyle Krzyzaniak to their roster in time for their three-game road trip this weekend.

Spokane, winners of three in a row, will travel to Seattle, Tri-City and Portland on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

for NIC's Border Clash

SPOKANE VALLEY - The North Idaho College men's basketball team will take on Community Colleges of Spokane in the annual Border Clash matchup Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Central Valley High.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance in the NIC athletic office in Post Hall.
