| November 17, 2010 8:00 PM

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint led late in the third quarter, but Post Falls’ Katy King hit a huge 3-pointer deep in the corner to give the Trojans momentum, and Post Falls went on to beat the Bulldogs 49-42 on Tuesday night at Les Rogers Court.

Josie Tennison scored 11 points, and Tori Davenport and Brooke Litalien added 10 apiece for the Trojans (2-0), who outscored Sandpoint 117-43 in two meetings last year.

“It was a rough game, very physical. We took quality shots, but they weren’t dropping,” Post Falls coach Chris Johnson said. “That post player from Sandpoint (Maggie Kirscher) is the real deal. Her combination of strength and moves is tough to stop.”

Kirscher had 10 points and seven rebounds for Sandpoint (1-2), which led 35-32 late in the third quarter.
