Vehicle crashes into local business

Coeur d Alene Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle that had driven into the Idaho Lights store located at 6055 North Sunshine St. about 8 a.m. today.

The female driver and two female juvenile passengers, ages 3 and 5, were transported to Kootenai Medical Center for medical evaluations.  It is unclear at this time as to why the driver may have passed out.

  The investigation shows that the vehicle was northbound on Hwy 95 just north of Dalton Avenue when it left the right shoulder of the roadway.  The vehicle went through a portion of an undeveloped lot and into the Idaho Lights building.

City of Coeur d Alene Building Inspector was contacted and responded to inspect the building for safety.
