NIC men roll past team of Card alums

COEUR d'ALENE - Sophomores Michael Hale and Tyrone White scored 17 points apiece as the third-ranked North Idaho College men's basketball team defeated the North Idaho All-Stars 106-71 in a nonconference game at Christianson Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

"It was kind of fun to be playing a game against some of our former players," NIC coach Jared Phay said. "We did what we needed to do to get better and I thought it was a good team effort."

Sophomore DeAndre Taylor had 10 points on 3-of-8 shooting for NIC (5-0), which hosts the Gonzaga club team on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Shea Bradshaw, who played for Phay at NIC before moving on to Montana Tech, had a game-high 18 points for the All-Stars.

Jackson Wilkey, also a former NIC player and a graduate of Coeur d'Alene High, had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the All-Stars.
