Cinndy Lee Newman, 68

Cinndy Lee Newman, of Hauser, born June 28, 1942, departed Oct. 1, 2010. Cinndy loved spending time with family and friends. She was born in Louisville, Ky., to William Alvin House II and Gloria Harriet White.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Newman of Hauser; son and daughter-in-law David and Susie Cosper of Napa, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Joanne Newman of Danville, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Mary and Lee Allred of Archdale, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law Erick and Christina Newman of Post Falls. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Alyssa, Jenna and Kiera of Archdale, N.C., Hope, Charity, Billy and Trinity of Post Falls, Steven and Shannon of Danville, Calif., Lyla of Napa, Calif.; nephew Jason House of California and several cousins from various parts of the country. She also leaves behind many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by both parents, William House and Gloria White; stepfather Douglas White and brother William House III.

She was a world traveler and loved to explore new places. Her favorites included the Great Wall of China, the pyramids of Egypt, the Eiffel Tower and the Great Barrier Reef. She dedicated her life to helping the children of Santa Rosa City Schools as a Truancy Officer. In her retirement she continued serving children by helping to support the Boys and Girls Club and attending the grandkids school activities as her health allowed. She has been a loving wife, a gentle mother and grandmother, and a true friend.

A memorial gathering will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Pleasant View Church, 19587 W. Riverview Drive, Post Falls. All are welcome to come and celebrate her life and share fond memories and stories.

There will also be a memorial gathering in Santa Rosa, Calif., at a later date. Those interested can contact a family member to find out the details for the memorial in Santa Rosa.
