Maybe that's why, according to an eyewitness, five sheriff's department cars, four police cars and two U.S. Forest Service vehicles all congregated quickly near the trailhead at English Point this afternoon.

Area residents were concerned that all heck had broken loose at Hayden Lake. However, The Press learned that a shallow grave found at the park sparked all the authoritarian interest. Turned out to be the final resting place for someone's dog.
