GRANDSON: Gone, but not forgotten

I gave up writing letters to the editor some time ago but now, I feel it is time to start again.

Our grandson, Ryan Hoeffliger, was 2 years, 2 months and 11 days old when he was found drowned in Hayden Lake.

Sunday, Nov. 11, 1984, was a very sad day for our family. As soon as the word got out, everyone came to my daughter's house to help search for Ryan. To this day his death has never been solved. He would never walk to the lake by himself at that age, say nothing of the weather!

I can only hope the person/persons who did this terrible deed will never be at peace with themselves. I always want to thank the local people at this time for all the help and love that was shown.
