Anne Frank show set Monday at NIC

| November 7, 2010 8:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - The public is invited to experience the world of Anne Frank on Monday at North Idaho College.

"Through the Eyes of a Friend," sponsored by the Human Rights Education Institute, shares the story of Sarah Weis, a composite character inspired by the experiences and testimonies of those who knew Anne Frank at certain points in her life as well as those young people who experienced the Holocaust throughout Europe.

Monday's show begins at 2 p.m. in Todd Hall in NIC's Molstead Library. It is free and open to the public.

The educational presentation by the Seattle-based Living Voices performance company combines archival footage with a live performer to share Sarah's experience as Anne Frank's "best" friend.

The Human Rights Education Institute is also bringing the show into area schools throughout the week.
