Lois Main, 80

| November 5, 2010 12:31 PM

Lois Jena V. "Jennie" Main, 80, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 4, 2010, after suffering from congestive heart failure. She was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Beaumont, Texas, to Ethel May and Eddie Woodson Forrest.

Jennie grew up on a farm in Texas. At age 16 she married Jack D. Parker. They lived in Missouri until they divorced and she moved to Idaho. She later met and married Robert D. Main. They lived in Kansas a few years where she worked as a waitress. In 1955 they moved to Nampa.

She always worked outside the home helping to support the family. She raised chickens which would later fill the freezer. She would also raise a huge vegetable garden, canning and freezing vegetables to last all winter. After her husband passed away she chose to move to Post Falls to be near her daughter and grandchildren and great-grandchildren which she willingly helped raise until her health no longer allowed her to be so active.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Johnny.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Drapeau and son-in-law Dan of Post Falls; grandchildren, Danette Larson, Robert Drapeua and wife Rory of Post Falls; great-grandchildren, Stephen Reichert, Taylor, Tarin, Michelle and Danielle Drapeau of Post Falls; a sister, Jean Zachmann of Caldwell; a brother, Robert Reif of Toast, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
