'Crimes of the Heart' auditions set for Nov. 15-16
Auditions are coming up for a role in "Crimes of the Heart" by Beth Henley.
The play is being put on by North Idaho College Theatre Department. It is about three sisters in Hazlehurst, Miss., who, as they await news about their dying grandfather, deal with the past, their differences, and reach toward the future.
"The play is extremely funny and moving, as Henley successfully avoids stereotypes so that the audience not only laughs, but deeply cares about the characters," according to a press release.
Auditions are Monday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Nov. 16 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.; callbacks Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
On Nov. 15, they are being held in Boswell Hall Room 001. On Nov. 16 and 17, in the Molstead Library Todd Lecture Hall
The roles are for four women, mid- to late-20s, very early 30s; and two men, one mid-20s and one early 30s.
Production dates are: Feb. 17, 18, 19 and Feb. 24, 25, 26.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the play. The play is directed by Trigger Weddle, adjunct instructor of Theatre at NIC. Copies of the script will be available in Boswell Hall Room 214.
