6,700 gallons of fuel is missing

COEUR d'ALENE - Thousands of gallons of fuel was reported missing from a Coeur d'Alene business.

City Service, 109 Harrison, checked the levels of its fuel tanks on Oct. 29 and "all fuel was accounted for at that time." On Nov. 1, another reading check was taken. It was found that 4,000 gallons of diesel fuel was missing and also 2,700 gallons of unleaded fuel was also unaccounted for.

Fuel has been stolen in the Plummer area in similar conditions.

An investigation continues.
