PRESS: Peddles propaganda

| November 3, 2010 9:09 AM

I'm concerned over recent "letters" to the editor. Let me correct myself: I'm concerned that certain letters are getting published. I see more and more of these letters being written about someone "got a call from someone claiming to be Joe Arpaio" or "heard a Republican say" so and so or "saw a Republican candidate" do so and so. All the while there is absolutely no supporting evidence to support the claim. So at this juncture I find myself thinking "this is propaganda" and The Press is pushing it.

I find it a little ridiculous to be honest. If you don't like the Republicans come out and say it. If you don't like a candidate come out and say it. Don't make up a story to make them look bad. You don't like them tell us why and give us evidence to support your opinion. Stop with the organized letter writing campaigns. Antics like this only do one thing: make you look ignorant. And as far as the Coeur d'Alene Pravda, I mean Press, I'm disappointed in your decisions to release letters like this.
