Leland C. Hanson

Jan. 4, 1921 – May 22, 2010

Lee was born in Centerville, S.D., Jan 4, 1921, and passed away May 22, 2010, in Coeur d’Alene after a brief illness with lung cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Hanson and they were faithful attendees of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hayden. He also is survived by two adult step children and three adult step grandchildren who reside in California and Massachusetts.

A Veteran of WWII from 1942-1945, he served in the United States 4000th Army Air Force Base Unit as a staff sergeant and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and American Theater Ribbon. His military occupation was a bomb site auto pilot repairman.

His lifelong profession was in the accounting field.

His smiles, jokes and laughter will be missed by all who knew him. Lee was always a happy person who loved life and seldom complained.

Lee requested remembrances to be directed to the Salvation Army.
