MEXICO: Time to give a little

| May 21, 2010 1:01 PM

Mr. Calderon, president of Mexico, was invited by someone(?) to speak before our Congress. Why? Because, as he has stated, President Obama intends to give amnesty to illegal aliens.

I have watched the U.S. for 60 years as we bailed out their currency 3 or 4 times; I’ve watched Mexico export their poverty to the U.S.  Some U.S. industries want the cheap labor. We have given Mexico billions of dollars to fight their drug industry problems. Now, their drug industry has taken over their country, crime is spilling over their whole country and into the U.S.

Americans are being robbed, attacked and killed by illegals from Mexico. Arizonans cannot leave their homes; if they do they return to find they have been robbed and their homes destroyed. None of this seems of interest to Mr Calderon. The game is plain; we give, Mexico takes.

Imagine, if you can the, the result if our president went before the Mexican equivalent of our congress and scolded Calderon for his country’s discriminatory (and it is) immigration laws? Speaking for my family, we do not need Mr. Calderon’s opinions, much less his total lack of judgment and respect in his speeches in our country. It is suggested that Mr. Calderon go home and attempt to control the killing, kidnapping and poverty in his own country.
