WARD: Won't split his party

| May 20, 2010 7:02 AM

The contrast between the two Republican candidates for Congress reminds me of a saying widely credited to Ronald Reagan: “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.” This quotation contains farsighted wisdom, encourging Republicans to put the long-term well-being of the party ahead of personal gain. Unfortunately, it appears Raul Labrador has neither heard of Reagan’s so-called “11th Commandment,” nor has he considered its meaning.

While Vaughn Ward has generally focused on beating Democrat Walt Minnck in November, Raul Labrador can’t seem to do anything but attack and say negative things about Ward, his fellow Republican. Labrador and his followers claim they are the “true conservatives” in the rce, but they don’t seem to be familiar with what Reagan believed.

Vaughn Ward has my support because he knows that the Democrats in Washington like Nancy Pelosi and Walt Minnick are spending America into oblivion. Ward hasn’t just talked about serving America, he’s picked up a weapon and defended our freedoms in war. If you think we need more lawyers in Washington, D.C., send Raul Labrador. If you want a warrior, a true hero, vote for Vaughn Ward on May 25.
