Nothing wrong with Arizona law

I am curious about the reaction over Arizona's new law. The bill actually mirrors federal law and has absolutely nothing to do with race, age, gender, or religion, nor does it hinder any citizen's rights to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness - therefore no one's rights are being violated.

Yet, in typical liberal fashion, there is a small but well-organized "grass roots" backlash made up of what appears to be illegal immigrants, young Latinos, and left wing supporters of an open border protesting nationwide. The claim: racism and racial profiling.

Now I am very curious as to how these people correlate illegal immigration and race. Are they saying that all illegal immigrants are of a specific race? Isn't that a bit racist?

I'm also curious as to the claim that this will legalize racial profiling. I heard one "lawyer" on a political talk show actually say "the police will be able to pull over someone for anything such as having an air freshener in their rear-view mirror in order to find out if they are legal. That's racial profiling." Really?

Well, if that person is violating the law and an officer catches them, why shouldn't they be able to inquire about that person's citizenship? Don't you show an officer your driver's license when you are pulled over? Don't you have to show identification when you are using your credit card? How much proof of citizenship and identification do you have to show when buying a home? How about when you fly?

Additionally, if the federal law actually pushes for the same precautions in protecting the nation from illegal immigrants, how is it that this law is "reminiscent of Nazi Germany?" As mentioned above, this law has nothing to do with race, gender, age, or religion and in no way hinders any citizen's rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Could the Nazis say the same of their laws?

Additionally, if these people were here legally and we had an open border, the term "illegal immigrant" wouldn't exist. Well, it does exist and "illegal" means against the law. It has nothing to do with race. It isn't called Illegal Latinoism or Illegal Mexicanism, or Illegal Russianism, it's called Illegal Immigration. It has everything to do with cutting down on spending due to illegals using our health care and school systems, crime, over crowding, and national security.

In my opinion, this backlash is about votes and we all know the Democratic Party needs race in order to win elections. Without race they have to focus on actual policies and their policies don't work.

Whether it be Stalin's Fascism, Hitler's National Socialism, or Marx's International Socialism, history tells us Socialism doesn't work without dictatorship, violence and loss of personal freedom. I don't think anyone will win with those truths do you? It all means the same: bigger government, less freedom, less choice.

Arizona's law has to do with law. If you aren't breaking the law, you have nothing to worry about. Let me write that again: if you aren't breaking the law you have nothing to worry about. You won't be stopped and asked for your papers if you are taking your son or daughter out to get an ice cream cone.

If you want to talk about Nazi Germany let's talk about Nationalizing banks, private business, and health care. Or if you want to really get into National Socilaist-like control of the people lets talk about National Biometric ID cards shall we?
