DINNER: A great big thank you

I am a Lance Corporal in the Marines. I was on leave and took my girlfriend out to dinner at Cedar's on April 13, went to pay our tab and was told that someone took care of it. I don't know who you are, but I hope this Thank You finds it's way to you. Thank You for your Support. OO-RAH!!!!

PROCEEDS: Help Meals on Wheels

Last Sunday, April 25, the Post Falls Senior Center hosted its first car show. This was a fundraising event and the proceeds may be used to help augment the Meals on Wheels Program which has had cuts on the federal level.

We were asked to help organize and put on this car show because of our involvement in several local car clubs. Along with the $10 entry fee for showing a vehicle we secured raffle donations from local businesses to help make this event a profitable one.

Big thanks go out to the folks that entered their vehicles, all 68 entries. You are the reason this event was a success! Many thanks also to the volunteers that worked the show along with us. This team effort made things go smoothly. The senior center is planning to host this show again next year.

On behalf of all, we want to thank the following local and Post Falls businesses that donated items; Tire-O-Rama, Motion Auto Supply, Napa Auto Parts, Silver Lake Tire & Auto, Mufflers Plus, Mountain West Bank, Community Bank, River City Chiropractic, A to Z Rental, Let it Go Healing and Treaty Rock Realty.

STAFF: Deserves the recognition

This week was Teacher Appreciation week. At Winton Elementary it is turned into Staff Appreciation Week, recognizing those working with our kids.

Among the staff who deserve recognition are the School Bus Drivers. These are people with whom the kids interact most days. Thanks for getting the kids to school safely doing what at times is a challenging job.

We have a special thank you to Pete Clemons. Our boys adore Pete and look forward to seeing him. There are lots of things parents worry about, but I feel that our son is in great hands once he gets on the bus and I get the friendly wave or brief conversation.

Thanks for making a difference.
