Shock take West Division lead

PHOENIX - Spokane defensive back William Mulder intercepted a pass by Arizona Rattler quarterback Nick Davila on fourth and 2 to secure a 63-56 win on Friday night in an Arena Football League West Division matchup before 10,203 at the USAirways Center.

Spokane (3-2) scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 23-yard pass from Kyle Rowley to Raul Vijil with 2 minutes, 8 seconds remaining. Vijil finished with 10 catches for 157 yards and four touchdowns.

Rowley was 22 of 37 passing with 369 yards and seven touchdowns. Huey Whittaker had seven catches for 83 yards and three touchdowns for the Shock, who travel to Oklahoma City next Sunday.

Davila, a former Shock quarterback, was 28 of 43 for 346 yards and seven touchdowns.

Rod Windsor had 14 catches for 157 yards and three touchdowns and JJ McKelvey had seven catches for 106 yards and four touchdowns for Arizona (2-3), which returns to action on May 21 at Iowa.
