Educational background: I graduated from Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado with a Criminal Justice Degree in 1976. I have studied religion, business and government.
Public service (elected or appointed offices): None. I have not been tainted in the government Old Boys Club.
Community service (service clubs, nonprofit boards, etc.): I have served as a volunteer for Lincoln County Community Justice for five years. I serve weekly as male counselor for Griefshare at my Twin Falls church. (Griefshare is a healing program for people who have experienced a loved one's death). I was Lincoln County's Idaho Constitution Party Chair from 2008 to February 2010.
How many years as a resident of your city: 21
Marital status: I was married for 23 years. I have been divorced for nine years.
Family: I have a 30 year old son "Mark" and daughter in law "Esther" who also live in Shoshone. My 20 year old son "Carl" was murdered in Phoenix on July 4, 2008.
Hobbies: Reading. I live a life of continuous learning on a variety of subjects. Hiking, and 1960's muscle cars.
Why are you running for office?
The office of Lt. Governor is strategically positioned to turn Idaho's economy around. The Lt. Governor is President of the Senate, casts a vote to break a tie, is accessible to the public, the Governor, the Legislators, and the Judicial Branch. Lt. Governor is a key State position for a committed Christian. Idaho can be America's small business state.
What do you see as the three biggest issues you’ll face?
a) Idaho's economy/small business;
b) Federal encroachment on Idaho's State Rights
c) Illegal Aliens
If elected, what steps will you take to resolve these issues?
a) I will work to level the playing field for small business. I will work to unionize Idaho Walmart's. I will work to remove all tax advantages from major retailers;
b) I support our Governor's 10th Amendment stand against Obama's health care, and gun Rights legislation;
c) I support State Senator Mike Jorgenson's E Verify Immigration Bill.
What specific skills or experience qualify you for this job?
a) I have spent my life working with specific goals to get the job done;
b) I have politely / firmly worked to minimize governments' self defeating bureaucracy;
c) I know first hand the pain from having a child murdered by an alien of questionable legal status.
Why should voters elect you, rather than an opponent?
I have the life experience, knowledge, will, desire, and heart to work for Idaho's economic and traditional values success. Idaho's current appointed Lt. Governor is special interest’s choice. He has a conflict of interest by being the Governor's close friend. I come from outside the Republican Old Boy System. I am the solution, not the problem.
