GREEN: In touch with voter needs

| May 6, 2010 12:16 PM

I have, like many other people, developed a growing sense of distrust of anyone in political office.  I think individuals who enter public office to truly serve their constituents and who are able to maintain that focus are a very rare minority. Most grow immune over time to the real needs and priorities of the people they were elected to serve.

But one should not say never… for a few days ago I ran across a website for a person running for public office as a prospective County Commissioner.  I have known this individual for a number of years; primarily as a parent of children in my school but I have also been aware of his acumen as a businessman and his community involvement.

His website (www.votedangreen.com) is a great snapshot of this future commissioner.  It was focused and purposeful.  Dan Green understands setting meaningful, and yet attainable, goals. He has great understanding of county  issues and can whittle down even complex issues to their root understandings.

Dan Green is the type of person we all want our politicians to be like. He’s capable, diligent, honest, and carries out his commitments with a servant heart and attitude. I encourage you to vote for Dan Green.
