Ready for the ride

| May 5, 2010 9:00 PM

Designs by two North Idaho College graphic design students were selected to be featured on the Ride Idaho jerseys and T-shirts for this year's ride.

Ride Idaho is a seven-day bicycle ride that takes 300 riders across the state. This year's event Aug. 8-14 will start and end in Coeur d'Alene as part of the 448-mile ride that will lead bicyclists across North Idaho and into Montana.

Monica Kelly-Wright from Kalispell, Mont., designed the jersey that will be worn by bicyclists in the event.

Kristina Brown from Post Falls designed the T-shirt that will be distributed to all riders and volunteers.

Both designs feature elements of North Idaho scenery that bicyclists will encounter during the ride, such as bodies of water, trees, mountains and animals native to the region.
