Shock trim roster;

opener Friday at home

SPOKANE — The Spokane Shock have released defensive back Chris LeFlore, offensive lineman Devin Clark and wide receiver Greg Orton.

In another roster move, the Shock recalled defensive back Chris Martin from recallable re-assignment and traded him to Chicago in exchange for offensive lineman Rob McMackin.

McMackin (6-foot-4, 330 pounds) played for the Chicago Rush in 2008. The Rush signed McMackin from the Los Angeles Avengers practice squad where he spent the first half of the 2008 season.

In 2006 and 2007, McMackin played in the af2 for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers and the Tri-Cities Fever.

The Shock begin their inaugural season in the Arena Football League on Friday as they host the Milwaukee Iron at 8 p.m. at the Spokane Arena.

Opening day next Tuesday

for Cd’A ladies 9-hole group

COEUR d’ALENE — Opening day for the Coeur d’Alene Public ladies 9-hole group is scheduled for next Tuesday, beginning with a social hour and registration at 8 a.m.

Refreshments will be served. Annual fee for membership is $40. The group will play Tuesday mornings through September. New members are encouraged to join.
