Right on, Mr. Hamelrath

| March 30, 2010 12:58 PM

I read the article presented by Mr. Hamelrath in The Press. This was the most articulate, honest and straightforward My Turn that I have read up to this point. Mr. Hamelrath would be a great spokesman for our country, his understanding of history is spot on!

Mr. Hamelrath is 16 years older than I am, but I remember this country as it use to be, and how history tends to repeat itself, he is right on the mark. The good people of America should be reminded of this daily, and in November they should take his thoughts and comments to the ballot box with them. I sure will!

There is no need for name calling, and Mr. Hamelrath made his points without calling anyone a name, or any threats. Walk softly and carry a big VOTE in November, it is time for the citizens to rise up and VOTE for the America that we can be proud of, and the values we support. There should be a 100 percent turnout for voting in November. If you don’t vote then you have no right to complain.

Reread your U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights, we should all be on the same page as Mr. Hamelrath!
