Marketing sign-up deadline Wednesday

The Post Falls Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a free Marketing 101 class, in preparation for its upcoming business fair on April 15, will be 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at Red Lion Templin's.

The deadline to register for the class is noon Wednesday.

Upbeat Breakfast April 13

The Chamber's Education Committee presents April's Upbeat Breakfast with Senior Vice President for Public Policy, United Ways of Texas, Jason Sabo as the guest speaker. Jason will be speaking on the importance of the investment in our children and the importance of education for the economic future of our communities. He covers the topics of early childhood education, to high school graduation and workforce training.

Join your fellow chamber members for our monthly Upbeat Breakfast networking event. Every month features member trade tables, a breakfast sponsor, guest speaker and is a great opportunity to meet hundreds of active chamber members. This event is at The Coeur d'Alene Resort and starts at 7:30 a.m.

Registration is required by April 9. Cancellations must be made by noon the Monday prior to Upbeat Breakfast for a refund.

Flip Factory to move

Flip Factory Gymnastics has grown out of another building and will hold a grand reopening on April 5 at a new location at 237 W. Hayden Ave., one block east of U.S. 95.

The new, larger facility is about 13,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest in gymnastics equipment, gymnastic stations and a separate recreational area.

There will also be a larger area for the Lil Flippers preschool classes adjacent to the gymnastics space. The addition of a dance room along with professional dance instruction is a very well received enhancement.

There is paved parking for more than 100 customers.

Networking group forming

Five Degrees of CDA, a new networking group in the Coeur d'Alene area, will hold a social at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Azteca, 2462 N. Old Mill Loop, in Riverstone. Free lunch will be available to all guests. The group will also be hosting a display table at the April Coeur d'Alene Chamber Upbeat Breakfast the same morning.

Fair housing issues

discussed April 9

A free fair housing training session sponsored by the Disability Action Center-NW, Intermountain Fair Housing Council, and the city of Coeur d'Alene will be held from 1-4 p.m. Friday, April 9, in the Community Room at the Coeur d'Alene library. 702 E. Front Ave.

Topics will include fair housing basics, disability rights and responsibilities, reasonable accommodations and legal decisions

Featured speakers will be Richard Mabbutt, executive director, Intermountain Fair Housing Council in Boise and Ken Nagy, fair housing attorney of Lewiston.

The session will provide information valuable to all housing providers rental agents and rental tenants, consumer advocates, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, community shelters, individuals with disabilities and agencies working with people with disabilities.
