Amadeus tickets are two-for-one

COEUR d'ALENE - If you want to see Amadeus at the Lake City Playhouse, this is the time to do so.

Tickets - normally $16 for adults $13 for seniors and students - to the production that closes this weekend are a two-for-one special.

Amadeus is scheduled April 1-3. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, and a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.

Jhon Goodwin is director, Eric Paine, from Everett, Wash., plays Mozart and David Abdallah plays Salieri.

The play is not a musical is it is not suitable for children.

Nutrition program starts April 6

University of Idaho Extension Nutrition Program, a community based education program is offering free weekly classes to recipients of food stamps or other Health and Welfare programs or school free lunch programs by trained extension nutrition advisers.

Classes will be held at 1 p.m. on April 6, April 13, April 20 and April 27 at the Kootenai County Extension Office, 1808 N. Third Street.

These classes will cover such topics as family meals, vegetables and fruits, how much food and physical activity; and active and fun family time.

Tire stud removal deadline nearing

Wednesday is the deadline to remove studded tires in Washington, Oregon and Utah.

Washington State Patrol troopers enforce a $124 fine for those who use studded tires after Wednesday.

In Idaho, the deadline is April 30 and in Montana May 31.

The fine in Idaho is $52 if studs are on after the deadline.

Idaho drivers driving in Washington and other states with studs after those states' deadline are subject to a fine.

Studded tires are legal all year in Wyoming.

Dinner to be served at Post Falls Legion

POST FALLS - A free pre-Easter dinner will be served at the Post Falls American Legion, 1138 E. Poleline Ave., from 3-7 p.m. Saturday.

A traditional dinner will be served, and all are welcome.

Post Falls mayor to hold coffee session

POST FALLS - Post Falls Mayor Clay Larkin and city staff will hold a coffee session on Thursday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Cabela's conference center.

Residents are welcome to discuss any local issue during the session.
