Trail Blazers eliminate Hornets

Brandon Roy scored 28 points and the visiting Portland Trail Blazers eliminated the New Orleans Hornets from playoff contention with a 112-101 victory Saturday night.

Roy hit 11 of his first 12 shots, only two of them layups. He finished 12 of 14 in 32 minutes. LaMarcus Aldridge added 24 points, and Nicolas Batum had 13 for Portland.

Jazz 103, Wizards 87: Mehmet Okur had 22 points and 11 rebounds and visiting Utah extending Washington's team-record losing streak to 15 games.

Mavericks 111, Warriors 90: At Oakland, Calif., rookie guard Rodrigue Beaubois scored 40 points, leading Dallas past Golden State.

Bulls 106, Nets 83: Jannero Pargo scored a season-high 27 points, and Taj Gibson added 22 to help Chicago beat visiting New Jersey.

Lakers 109, Rockets 101: Pau Gasol scored 30 points and Los Angeles won at Houston.
