No. 20 NIC home for two more softball twinbills

COEUR d'ALENE - North Idaho College, ranked 20th in the NJCAA, will continue its 12-game homestand with a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader today against College of Southern Nevada starting at 1 p.m. at Memorial Field.

NIC (21-15, 14-10 SWAC) enters the game third in the league standings, with CSN trailing NIC by a half game at 17-13, 13-10.

Cardinal sophomore Amanda Krier leads the league in doubles with 14, is third in on-base percentage at .534 and ranks fourth with 20 walks. Sophomore Alyssa Hawley ranks second in stolen bases with 24.

NIC freshman Alyssa Erickson is ranked second in wins with nine, and her 2.48 ERA is good for fifth in the SWAC.

As a team, North Idaho leads the SWAC with 84 stolen bases, 28 more than Salt Lake.

The teams play another doubleheader Saturday at noon.
