Joy L. Shepston

| March 26, 2010 5:03 AM

Passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, with family by her side. Born in Toronto, Canada, Dec. 29, 1931.

Beloved daughter of the late Gladys and Leo Halsall. Most loved and loving mother of Jo-Ann (Bill) Roesel of Hayden and Danny (Margarita) McClusky of Arizona. Cherished grandmother of Feather (Tim) Allen, Nevada Jackson, Chanté Pantillo and Joy (Brian) Goodrich. Dearly loved great-grandma of Miracle, Araya, Blessing and Heaven. Special sister of of Barbara (Don) Austin. Lovingly remembered by June Stewart and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Joy grew up in Canada, lived many years in Arizona and the last 10 years in Idaho. Joy was a creative person, talented artist and member of the Coeur d’Alene Art Association. She had an adventurous, gypsy spirit and saw many parts of the world.

Joy was generous, caring and compassionate — a “people magnet” with a great sense of humor and an animal lover. She enjoyed many interests — writing, photography, music, jewelry making and most of all time spent with her family.

As Joy wished, there will be no funeral. Private family memorial.
