Introducing cdapressextra.com

| March 26, 2010 9:00 PM

It's not a finished product just yet, but online readers of The Press are invited to preview a new Web site: cdapressextra.com.

The site is being built for print newspaper subscribers only, but for a limited time, anybody can check it out.

"Our goal is to reward our best customers," said Press Publisher Jim Thompson. "This site is specifically designed with our subscribers in mind."

The new site gives readers:

• A free, complete version of the print edition every day. The current site, cdapress.com, offers only a sampling of what's in each day's newspaper.

• Free access to electronic archives. To find anything that's been recently published in The Press, use the Advanced Search box in the upper right corner of the home page. (Readers of cdapress.com will still have to pay for archived stories.)

• A current list of all the most commented-on stories. Click on the OPINION/COMMENTS tab at the top of the page and go to Story Comments. There you'll find the 50 most commented-on stories.

• Limited advertising so stories, letters to the editor and other features are quicker and easier to find.

We'd appreciate your comments and suggestions for the site. Please e-mail them to Mike Alexander (malexander@cdapress.com) or Mike Patrick (mpatrick@cdapress.com).
