Road work continues

| March 23, 2010 9:00 PM

Road improvement work on Latour Creek Road is scheduled to start Monday.

Activities will include road straightening, drainage improvement, and bridge reconstruction/replacement.

"The project's outcome will reduce pollutant loadings for sediment in Latour Creek and the Coeur d'Alene River to help achieve full beneficial use support for cold water life," according to a press release.

Construction will begin at the seven mile marker and continue until the project is completed, estimated the end of May.

Access will be limited to local residents and project contractors only during drainage/bridge improvements and road reconstruction.

Road closures will be posted at the Latour Creek exit off of Interstate 90. Expect long traffic delays past the seven mile marker during periods of access.

Alternative route maps will be available at the Cataldo IDL office, 80 Hilltop Overpass Road, Kingston.
