Kite Festival in Hayden is April 17

HAYDEN - The 4th annual Kite Festival in Hayden at Broadmoore Park is scheduled April 17.

The event is open to all ages.

Participants will be eligible for awards in different categories including Best of Show, largest, smallest and most colorful.

Boy Scout Troop 226 will be holding a kite building workshop the weekend before the festival on Saturday, April 10, from 1-4 p.m. at Hayden Meadows Elementary School.

Kite builders are asked to bring string, a large brown paper bag, a package of rectangular tissues, scissors, and tape to create their kites.
