Kids invited to design Race for the Cure T-shirts

The Kids for the Cure T-shirt contest to about to begin.

Every year elementary schools are welcome to participate in the contest and at the end of the school year, the winner is announced at their school.

The Komen Coeur d'Alene Race for the Cure has invested more than $1 million in community breast health programs in our five county service area.

The wining design will be featured on all the kids T-shirts at this year's Race for the Cure on Sept. 26. Winners will be asked to appear in the media promoting Kids for the Cure and consent for the use of the design and photo/media opportunities is required by parental/guardian signature.

The design should represent the child's idea of finding a cure for breast cancer and oftentimes a pink ribbon is used to represent breast cancer, but this is not required.

Include the child's name, age, school, signature of parent of guardian, and home phone number on entry.

Entries can be mailed or dropped off to Laurie McNutt c/o Kootenai Outpatient Imaging, 700 Ironwood Drive, Suite 110, Coeur d'Alene.

Deadline for entries in April 30.
