Reward offered in Cd'A robbery case

Gary Tolerico wants justice.

The owner of Fairway Grocery and Gas in Coeur d'Alene is offering a $250 reward to anyone who can help identify the robber who broke into his establishment Friday morning.

Tolerico acknowledges the reward outweighs what was actually stolen - a 30 pack of Natural Light beer.

"I just want to see this person get caught," Tolerico said.

The store security camera captured the image of the robber, wearing a skull mask, breaking the glass in the front door and taking the beer just before 3 a.m. Friday morning.

Tolerico said replacing the door is estimated to cost between $200 and 300.

He asked that folks call the gas station on Kathleen Avenue at 665-1445 if they have any information.

"I just want to get this person," he said. "It's not right that they break in the store and steal stuff."

Nonprofit to offer group session of hypnotherapy

A free, group hypnotherapy session is scheduled March 27 in Coeur d'Alene.

New Life Clinics, a nonprofit based in Kingman, Ariz., says hypnosis can help people stop smoking, lose weight and relieve stress.

"Our mission is to provide the general public with clinical hypnotherapy for the sole purpose of saving lives and reducing human suffering," said New Life Clinics Executive Director Dr. Robert G. Dean.

After an introductory session, participants will join in a short exercise to test if they are hypnotizable.

"We will remove the programming in the mind that perpetuates the unhealthy behaviors," Dean said in a press release.

Those planning to attend should register by 1:30 p.m. The session is 2-4 p.m. The seminar is at the Best Western Coeur d'Alene Inn, 506 W Appleway Ave.

A $5 donation from each person at the door is appreciated but not required.
