Ellen June Delbridge, 75

Ellen June Delbridge, 75, was born June 3, 1934, to Henry and Nita Clark in Eureka, Calif. Ellen passed away March 16, 2010, in Coeur d’Alene, at her home peacefully with her son Fred at her side.

She lived most of her life in the Silver Valley. She married Fred Messerly in 1954 they divorced in 1963. Ellen raised four children mostly by herself. In 1984 she met companion Digby Moens and they enjoyed going south for the winters and fishing and boating on lakes around Coeur d’Alene the in summers. Digby passed away in 2004. Ellen retired from Coeur d’Alene Tree Nursery in 1993 after 24 years of service. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and going to the casino.

She is survived by daughter Sandy Braden and Bob; sons Fred Messerly, Jim Messerly and Sherry; sisters Grace Tognoni of Eureka, Neva., Marge Stockton of Nez Pierce; brother Dick Clark of the Silver Valley; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sister Billideen Rodrickas, brother James Clark and son Bill Messerly.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, with potluck reception to follow.
