East boys, girls defeat West

MULLAN — The East boys and girls topped the West in the annual District 1 All-Star Games, held Friday at the Mullan Athletic Pavilion.

GIRLS: Coeur d’Alene senior Dayna Drager earned MVP honors with 18 points to lead the East past the West 65-55. Amanda Buttrey of Coeur d’Alene added 10 points for the East.

During the half of the girls game, Clark Fork senior Shaina Gustafson won the 3-point contest.

BOYS: Sandpoint senior Stefan Buratto scored 21 points in an MVP performance to lead the East boys past the West 122-116.

Justin Mikkelson of Post Falls scored 13 points for the West.

J.J. Stoddard of Lake City won the boys 3-point contest, with Coeur d’Alene’s Connor Williams winning the Slam Dunk contest.
