Costumes stolen from Dalton porch

| March 19, 2010 9:00 PM

DALTON GARDENS - It's doubtful a young man who stole a box from the front porch of a Dalton Gardens home will find much use for the booty inside: Costumes.

Pink, white, green and turquoise, try 50 or so of the dance outfits for little girls who will be in the Le Danse spring dance concert in May.

Debi Terracciano, owner of Le Danse studio in Coeur d'Alene, is upset someone took the box off her porch in the middle of the afternoon.

"I just want it back because they obviously have no need for anything in there," she said. "They're not hurting anybody but a bunch of little girl dancers."

The box was delivered by UPS at 2:06 p.m. Thursday. About 2:45, Terracciano's step-daughter heard the doorbell ring, looked out the window and saw a young man walking away with the box. He got in a blue car that had a Beatles sticker on it and the driver sped away.

Terracciano said the costumes cost about $500. She is hoping whoever stole the box will return it, or just drop it off somewhere where she can get it back.

"They're for little girls who want to dance. It's their stuff," Terracciano said.
