She graduated from Leuzinger High in 1951. Maryann married Robert Curtis in 1952 where they lived in Inglewood, Calif., and raised three daughters. Maryann was compassionate, hardworking and loving. She worked at Centinella Medical Hospital in Inglewood for many years, where she was employee of the month in 1994.

She moved to Hayden, Idaho, in 1996 to be with her daughter, son-in-law and five grandkids. She loved taking walks with her dogs around the farm, feeding stray cats, crocheting and being with her “best friend,” her 6-year-old great-granddaughter, Lexi.

Maryann was strong and determined and after breaking her hip in January of this year. She spent six weeks in rehab getting stronger. She wanted nothing more but to come home to her animals and family. On Sunday, March 7, 2010, she did just that. Showing everyone that if you set your mind to something and work hard, you can do anything.
