Lloyd O. Kittredge, 93

| March 16, 2010 4:31 AM

Lloyd was born March 6, 1917, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Luther and Leona Kittredge. He went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2010, the day after celebrating his 93rd birthday.

Lloyd was a kind, strong, gentle man whose life expressed his unwavering devotion to his Lord, his family and his country. He possessed an untiring work ethic, counting it a blessing and joy to provide for his family. Lloyd retired from the Lockheed Corporation in 1982, after working more than 40 years in aerospace. During the course of his career, he traveled to Japan, Taiwan and other Asian countries to oversee the construction of Lockheed aircraft. He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1996 with his wife, Ruth, to join his family here.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Ruth; children Linda Ross (Oregon), John Kittredge (Colorado) and stepdaughter Virginia Robinson (Idaho); four grandchildren, Steven Owens, Olga (Owens) Leatherbury, Patricia Robinson and Katherine Robinson, and many more adoring family members who look forward to meeting him again in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, located at 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. All are welcome to attend.
