Dorothy Dell Cropp, 66

Dorothy Dell Cropp, 66, passed away March 12, 2010, at her home. Born Feb. 1, 1944, to Delbert and Dorothy Phillips in Spokane, Wash., Dorothy was one of 10 children.

She married Raymond B. Cropp June 4, 1960. Dorothy and Ray lived in Pinehurst until 1971. They moved to Mead, Wash., for a couple of years then to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, until 1995. They spent 12 years in Benton City, Wash., where Dorothy was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Upon Ray’s retirement they returned to the Silver Valley in 2007.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, her house was open to all with loving arms, laughter and opinions. Dorothy was first and foremost a homemaker, although she worked for many years in the computer industry until she was forced to stop working. Dorothy and Ray usually had someone she cared about living with them from nieces, nephews, sisters and in-laws. If you were having a tough go her house was always open. Throughout her life she was a devoted Christian and she’ll be missed by all.

Survived by her husband, Raymond B. Cropp; daughter and son in-law Brenda and Denny Blankenship of Kingston, Idaho; son and daughter in-law Raymond D. and Sherry Cropp of Kingston; grandsons, Cory Cropp of Kingston, Benjamen and Nicole Ingles of Coeur d’Alene, Dale Blankenship of Rathdrum, Idaho, Bill and Liz Blankenship of Coeur d’Alene and Charles Blankenship of Rathdrum; seven great-grandchildren, Jayson and Joshua Cropp, Taygen Ingles, Livia and Ava Blankenship, Ashley Blankenship and Conner and Keetyn Blankenship; mother Dorothy Phillips Miller; brothers, Terry and Lisa Phillips, Roger and Dee Phillips, Donny and Helen Phillips, Jerry and Dorothy Phillips, Arlo Miller and George and Dee Miller; sisters, Fay and Charles Carpenter, Leah Payne, Nona Hudkins and Raema and Jerry Kuehn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Phillips; brother Glen Phillips and stepfather Arlo Miller.

Memorial service to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the Assembly of God Church (1008 S. Division St.) in Pinehurst, everyone wishing to attend is welcome.
