POST FALLS - A Spokane County bomb unit responded to Post Falls Sunday afternoon to deal with a suspicious-looking plastic tube that was found at Poleline Avenue and Highway 41.
Post Falls police officer Dennis Sanchez said a robot picked up an 8-inch tube at the intersection and carried it to a nearby field to dispose of it after 5 p.m., though it turned out to not be dangerous. He said traffic was interrupted for a few minutes.
An anonymous caller notified authorities about the plastic tube.
Kootenai County Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene, Sanchez said.
