John and Sharon Nielsen

50th Anniversary

John and Sharon Nielsen are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary March 17, 2010. They were married March 17, 1960, at St. Thomas Church.

They made their life in Coeur d'Alene raising their family and retiring from the lumber industry. The couple have enjoyed years of fishing, camping, boating, vacationing in Yuma, Ariz., and being around family and friends.

They have two daughters, Kim (Tod) Loudenback, Tracy (Don) Williams; four grandchildren, Jacob (Tiffani) Lenz, Jamie Lenz, Kristi Williams, Cory Williams; one great-granddaughter Saige Lenz.

Celebration will be held July 11, 2010.

Ralph and Kazuko Ward

50th Anniversary

Ralph and Kazuko Ward will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary March 21, 2010. They were married March 21, 1960, at the American Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.

The couple are currently living in Post Falls.

They have one son, Michael and daughter-in-law Leighanna; and three grandchildren, Michele, Taylor, and Rachel.

Ralph and Kazuko will be celebrating with family.

BIRTHS

Skyliss Rane Vallejo was born at 1:54 p.m. Jan. 20, 2010, to Shilo Stone and Ramon Vallejo of Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 10 lbs. and was 20.5 inches long. Brothers are Kulin Stewart and Anthony Vallejo. Sister is Maggien Vallejo. Maternal grandparents are James and Peggy Stone. Paternal grandmother is Sharon Marker.

Alexandra Marie Maynard was born at 4:44 a.m. Feb. 20, 2010, to Jennifer and Reese Maynard of Hayden. She weighed 7 lbs. and was 20 inches long. Brother is Byron Maynard. Maternal grandparents are Roxanne and Matt Shaw. Paternal grandparents are Jeannie and Richard McGary, and Larry and Bonnie Maynard.
