Dorothy 'Joan' McKeon, 77

Dorothy “Joan” McKeon, 77, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died March 6, 2010, in Coeur d’Alene. She was born June 6, 1932, in Butte, Mont., to George and Anna Mae (Harrington) Wilkie.

She was born and raised in Butte, moving to Post Falls, Idaho, in the 1980s. Dorothy was a homemaker. She was very active in her church, Immaculate Conception in Post Falls. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie and (Darol) Basaraba of Spokane Valley, Wash.; son Patrick McKeon of Montana; granddaughter Melissa and (Mike) Terrill of Madison, Wisc.; grandson Michael McGowan of Seattle, Wash.; and great-grandson 20-month-old Jonathan Terrill.

Dorothy was preceded in death by daughter Maureen McKeon on Aug. 21, 1992, and husband Peter on July 15, 2006.

Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
