John and Sherry Jacob are proud to announce the engagement of their son, Matthew Jacob, to Vickie Miller. They are planning a spring wedding May 2011.

BIRTHS

Madilynn Marie Eggart was born at 3:34 a.m. Feb. 24, 2010, to Ashley Ealy and Jeff Eggart of Post Falls. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 21.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Dana Inmon and Frank Inmon.

Carter Sean Northern was born at 9:49 a.m. Feb. 20, 2010, to Christina Marie and Justin Daniel Northern of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 21.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Troy Swearingen and Jennie Cooper. Paternal grandparents are Jeff Northern, Shelly Quarles and Kelly Northern.

James Matthew Hines was born at 5:58 p.m. Feb. 24, 2010, to Lyudmila Khayns-Hines and Matthew Hines of Post Falls. He weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. Sister is Anna Grace Hines. Maternal grandparents are Oleg and Lyubov Vinokhodov. Paternal grandparents are Ron and Cheryl Hines.

MILITARY

Air Force Airman Erik P. Iverson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Paul and Lori Iverson of Athol.

The airman is a 2009 graduate of Coeur d'Alene High School.
