Iron Horse fundraiser for Haiti set

A "Help for Haiti" benefit is scheduled March 17 at the Iron Horse Bar & Grill, 407 E. Sherman Ave.

"The crisis in Haiti has left us all trying to figure out how we can help," said Zack Cooper. "As a musician, I knew that I could find a way to create something that the community could support, for the greater good of those in Haiti."

A $5 donation at the door is recommended.

Entertainment includes local Bluesy Jazz bands Peach Floyd, Steve Livingston & Triple Shots, Ozmo Boogie, and River Boat Dave and the Fur Traders.

All proceeds will go to Haiti through Community Focused Disaster Response, a nonprofit organization.

"It's incredible to be part of something that is going to help so many people," he said.

Live music provided by the four local bands will begin at 7 p.m. There will be raffle, prizes, great food and sensational entertainment. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music begins at 7.
