COEUR d'ALENE - Peace Coeur d'Alene and Diakonia of North Idaho will honor Coeur d'Alene Press columnist Sholeh Patrick with a Peace Award at an International Women's Day Brunch at noon Sunday at the Greenbriar Inn.

"Sholeh was chosen for this first Peace Award for her columns on world religions and the Charter for Compassion. These columns advance our understanding of the world community and help break down barriers that separate us," said Bonnie Douglas of Peace Coeur d'Alene.

The event was scheduled in anticipation of the March 8 International Women's Day, which was established in the early 1900s.

The brunch is $15.
