Shirleen Rosa Anderson (Gottschall), 75

Shirleen Rosa Anderson, 75, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010, at her home in Coeur d’Alene with her husband and friends close to her.

Shirl, as she was best known, was born in Jersey Shores, Pa., on April 15, 1935, to Merrill L. and Anna (Anglehoffer) Gottschall. She graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1953. She had a long friendship with her forever classmates.

On Dec 2, 1966, she married James F. Anderson. Shirl is survived by her husband, Jim/Andy; her three children by a previous marriage, Lynda (Edwin) Griffin of Poulsbo, Wash.; Kathy Shuman of Junction City, Kan.; and Russell (Roxane) Shuman of Imperial, Mo.; four grandchildren, two step grandsons and four great-granddaughters. A sister Carol (Robert) Ludwig, brother Delwin (Martha) Gottschall and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Elwood Gottschall.

As per her wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes spread over Lake Coeur d’Alene at a later date. There will be no other services.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of North Idaho or any charity of your choice in her memory.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Hospice of North Idaho for their care and compassion in the care of Shirl.

Shirl will be greatly missed but always loved by her husband, family, numerous friends and her two cats and dog.
