Commissioners table asphalt deliberations

Almost there.

After two hours of deliberations on Thursday, the Kootenai County commissioners voted unanimously to table deliberations until next week on the operating timeframe for Coeur d'Alene Paving's asphalt batch plant in Rathdrum.

The commissioners, court-ordered to reconsider their decision last year granting the plant a temporary permit, wanted additional time to investigate necessary mitigation conditions if they decide to make the facility permanent.

The deliberations are scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 1 in the commissioners' office in the Kootenai Administration Building.
