When I Come Home to Heaven

“When I come home to Heaven

How joyful it will be!

For on that day at last

My risen Lord I’ll see.

To see Him face to face,

To see the love in His eyes

And feel His warm embrace.

I’ve done nothing to deserve

That perfect home above.

It was given freely though

The grace of Jesus’ love.

Then why should earthly cares

Weigh down upon me so?

They’ll be a distant memory

When home at last I go.”

What we lost as a loving husband; God received as a loving believer. What we lost as a devoted and passionate Dad; God received as a committed father. What we lost as a precious son; God received back as his own son. What we lost as a wonderful friend; God received as well as a cherished friend. What we lost as a community; God left an imprint forever to remind us of his love through Michael.

Born March 5, 1982, in San Diego, Calif., on Thursday, June 24, 2010 God took Michael Blankartz my friend-our friend Home. We’ll often be reminded of his unbridled energy; big heart for everyone; a smile that touched your soul. We’ll miss you Michael, but we’ll all press on with that same hope, passion, and zeal for life as you lived out that touched all of ours.

Michael is survived by his wife, Renee; his daughters, Lydia, Melody and Adeline; his parents, Bill and Teri Blankartz; his brother, Lucas and sister Lynn.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Real Life Ministries, Building 2, Post Falls. A reception will follow the service.
